ABSTRACT The invention relates to a suction roll shell 9 having a plurality of through holes 7. The shell is made of a stainless ferrite-austenite steel having a micro-structure essentially consisting of 35-65 % by volume of ferrite and 35-65 % by volume of austenite. The steel has a composition containing, among other things, 0.005-0.07 C and 0.15-0.30 N, in % by weight. The invention also relates to a suction roll comprising the inventive suction roll shell and a method of producing a steel product.

L'invention concerne une coquille pour rouleau aspirant (9) dotée d'une pluralité de trous traversants (7). La coquille est en acier inoxydable de ferrite-austénite dont la microstructure comprend essentiellement 35-65 % en volume de ferrite et 35-65 % en volume d'austénite. L'acier contient, entre autres, 0,005-0,07 C et 0,15-0,30 N % en poids. Par ailleurs, l'invention concerne un rouleau aspirant équipé de la coquille pour rouleau aspirant innovante, ainsi qu'un procédé de fabrication d'un produit en acier.
