A straight line motion producing apparatus useable in the papermaking process includes a base (6), a first arm (7) rotatable about a first axis (A-A) being stationary relative to the base (6) during rotation of the first arm (7). A second arm (9) is rotatable about a second axis (B- B) extending through the first arm (7) such that the distance between the first axis (A-A) and the second axis (B-B) remains constant. The second arm (9) should be of a length relative to the distance between the first (A-A) and second (B-B) axis to produce a straight line motion at a particular location of the second arm (9) upon a constant distance per degree of rotation of the first arm (7) about the first axis (A-A). The apparatus further includes a mechanism for rotating (11) the second arm (9) about the second axis (B-B) a constant distance per degree of rotation of the first arm (7) about the first axis (A-A) to produce a straight line motion at a particular location on the second arm(9).
Appareil produisant un mouvement en ligne droite utile dans le processus de production de papier, qui comporte une base (6), un premier bras (7) rotatif autour d'un premier axe (A-A) étant stationnaire par rapport à la base (6) pendant la rotation dudit premier bras (7). Un second bras est rotatif autour d'un second axe (B-B) s'étendant à travers le premier bras (7) de telle manière que la distance entre le premier axe (A-A) et le second axe (B-B) reste constante.
