A substituted polyaniline whose self-doped state can be controlled via complexation between boronic acid groups along the backbone with D-fructose in the presence of fluoride is described. For the first time, this allows the formation of a water-soluble, self-doped conducting polymer under the polymerization conditions. In turn this facilitates the growth of polyaniline over a wider pH range
L'invention concerne une polyaniline substituée dont l'état autodopé peut être régulé via la complexation entre des groupes d'acide boronique le long du squelette avec du D-fructose en présence de fluorure. Pour la première fois, il est possible de former un polymère conducteur autodopé soluble dans l'eau dans des conditions de polymérisation. L'invention facilite par ailleurs la croissance de la polyaniline sur une gamme de pH plus étendue.
