This system relates to a system ( and a corresponding method ) of automatically sorting objects, wherein said system comprises a conveyor mechanism configured for conveying an object to a sorter device; a sensor device arranged such that the objects conveyed are caused to be located essentially within a predetermined reading space; and a calculator unit configured for receiving an electrical sensor signal representative of measurement data from said sensor device and configured for generating and emitting a control signal to said sorter device configured for sorting conveyed objects in response to/on the basis of said control signal, wherein said sensor signal is configured for detecting gamma radiation emitted from a conveyed object when exposed to a neutron flux with a given energy distribution, and configured for providing said sensor signal on the basis of said detection; and wherein said control signal is generated on the basis of said sensor signal. Hereby expedient and reliable automated sorting of objects is provided, wherein the frequency of erroneous sorting is dramatically reduced, the system using another and more reliable analysis method than was previously used. Moreover, the number of sorting errors is reduced to a level that is sufficient for complying with the requirements made with respect to the environment.
L'invention concerne un système (et un procédé correspondant) de triage automatique d'objets. Ce système comprend un mécanisme de transport conçu pour transporter un objet dans un dispositif de triage; un dispositif de détection disposé de manière que les objets transportés soient contraints d'être situés généralement dans un espace de lecture prédéterminé; et une unité de calculatrice conçue pour recevoir un signal de détection électrique représentant des données de mesure issues du dispositif de détection et pour produire et émettre un signal de commande vers le dispositif de triage conçu pour trier des objets transportés, en réponse au signal de commande ou sur la base de celui-ci, le signal de détection étant conçu pour détecter un rayonnement gamma émis à partir d'un objet transporté lors de l'exposition à un flux de neutrons avec une distribution d'énergie donnée et pour fournir le signal de détection en fonction de la détection; le signal de commande étant produit en fonction du signal de détection. Un tel système permet d'obtenir un triage automatisé approprié et fiable d'objets, la fréquence d'apparition d'un triage erroné étant drastiquement réduite du fait que le système utilise un autre procédé d'analyse plus fiable que celui utilisé précédemment. De plus, le nombre d'erreurs de triage est suffisamment réduit pour répondre aux exigences relatives à l'environnement.
