A portable, self-contained medical diagnostic system (100) is provided for assessing urinary function. The system includes a control device (102) including a processor, a pump device (118), and a pressure sensor (706, 707), and a test module removably coupled to the control device (102), and further including a pressure interface (1026a) and a tubing assembly (1004) defining a first fluid conduit (1010) between a first fluid inlet (1006) and a first fluid outlet (1008). The pump device (118) is coupled to the first fluid conduit for pumping fluid therethrough. The system also includes an insert member having a first channel therethrough and coupled to the first fluid outlet so that fluid flowing through the first fluid conduit may flow through the first channel. The insert member is dimensioned for insertion into a patient's bladder through the urethral canal. When so inserted, the pressure interface transmits bladder pressure information to the pressure sensor (1030).
L'invention concerne un système de diagnostic médical autonome et portable permettant d'évaluer la fonction urinaire. Ce système comporte un dispositif de commande comprenant un processeur, un dispositif de pompe et un capteur de pression ainsi qu'un module de test couplé de manière à être retiré du dispositif de commande. En outre, le système comprend une interface à pression et un ensemble de tubages délimitant un premier conduit de fluide venant entre une première entrée de fluide et une première sortie de fluide. Le dispositif de pompe est couplé au premier conduit de fluide afin d'assurer le pompage d'un fluide. Ce système comporte en outre une pièce rapportée ayant un premier passage et étant couplée à la première sortie de fluide de manière que le fluide s'écoulant à travers le premier conduit de fluide puisse s'écouler dans le premier passage. La pièce rapportée présente une dimension permettant son insertion dans la vessie d'un patient à travers le canal urétral. Par la suite, l'interface à pression transmet des informations concernant la pression de la vessie au capteur de pression.
