In a first embodiment a method for distributing video data from an originating device in a communication network is disclosed including storing metadata at the originating device describing the video data; selecting at the originating device, a plurality of candidate devices to receive the video data based on a correlation between the metadata and subscriber profi les for the plurality of candidate devices; and distributing the video data to a first set selected from the plurality of candidate devices in the communication network based on the correlation. In a second embodiment a system for distributing video data from an originating device in a communication network is disclosed including a server having a processor in communication with a memory; and a computer program stored in the memory, the computer program including instructions to store metadata received from originating device describing the video data, instructions to select at the server, a plurality of candidate devices to receive video data based on a correlation between the metadata and subscriber profiles for the plurality of candidate devices; and instructions to distribute the video data to a first set of candidate devices selected from the plurality of candidate devices in the communication network based on the correlation.
L'invention concerne, d'une part, un procédé de distribution de données vidéo à partir d'un dispositif d'origine d'un réseau de communication, ce procédé consistant à enregistrer des métadonnées au niveau du dispositif d'origine décrivant les données vidéo; sélectionner au niveau du dispositif d'origine les données vidéo sur la base d'une corrélation entre les métadonnées et des profils d'abonnés de la pluralité des dispositifs candidats et distribuer les données vidéo à un premier ensemble sélectionné parmi la pluralité de dispositifs candidats du réseau de communication en fonction de la corrélation. L'invention concerne, d'autre part, un système de distribution de données vidéo à partir d'un dispositif d'origine d'un réseau de communication, ce système comprenant un serveur dont le processeur communique avec une mémoire et un programme informatique enregistré dans la mémoire, ce programme comprenant des instructions pour enregistrer des métadonnées reçues du dispositif d'origine décrivant les données vidéo, des instructions pour sélectionner, au niveau du serveur, une pluralité de dispositifs candidats de façon à recevoir des données vidéo sur la base d'une corrélation entre les métadonnées et des profils d'abonnés de la pluralité de dispositifs candidats, et des instructions pour distribuer les données vidéo à un premier ensemble de dispositifs candidats sélectionnés parmi la pluralité des dispositifs candidats du réseau de communication en fonction de la corrélation.
