A method of estimating a formation pressure in a wellbore is provided that in one aspect includes measuring a hydrostatic pressure at a selected location in the wellbore, and estimating supercharge pressure as a function of time using a forward model that utilizes the hydrostatic pressure and at least one property of mud in the wellbore that is a function of time. In another aspect, the method may estimate an initial formation pressure at a selected location in a wellbore by obtaining a hydrostatic pressure and at least three formation pressure measurements at three separate times at the selected location, and estimating the initial formation pressure using the hydrostatic pressure, the three pressure measurements and an internal mudcake parameter.
La présente invention concerne un procédé d'estimation d'une pression de formation dans un puits de forage, comprenant, dans un premier aspect, l'étape consistant à mesurer une pression hydrostatique au niveau d'un emplacement sélectionné du puits de forage et l'étape consistant à estimer la pression de suralimentation en fonction du temps à l'aide d'un modèle avancé qui utilise la pression hydrostatique et d'au moins une propriété de la boue dans le puits qui est une fonction du temps. Dans un autre aspect, le procédé peut estimer une pression de formation initiale au niveau d'un emplacement sélectionné d'un puits de forage en obtenant une pression hydrostatique et au moins trois mesures de pression de formation à trois moments distincts au niveau de l'emplacement sélectionné, et en estimant la pression de formation initiale à l'aide de la pression hydrostatique, des trois mesures de pression et d'un paramètre de cake de filtration interne.
