A system for moving a trailer from an operable position to a raised position and releasably locking the trailer in the raised position. The system is comprised of a supporting vehicle. A trailer is connected to the supporting vehicle in a manner that restricts movement of the trailer along a first axis that is generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the trailer. Restriction members are able to restrict movement of the trailer along a second axis that is generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the trailer. A loading member has a surface area. An actuating member is able to apply a force to the surface area of the loading member. This force pivots the trailer about a third axis, generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the trailer, to the raised position where a releasable locking mechanism is engaged to help maintain the trailer in the raised position.
