A system and method for reporting changes in dialup access points since a previous scan is described. The system includes: means for dialing a plurality of telephone numbers and logging results for each telephone number; means for remotely managing the means for dialing; and means for reporting the results for each telephone number and all associated history of the results for each telephone number. The system can also include means for reporting changes in dialup access points since a previous scan. The system can also include means for reporting the telephone number, a number of calls attempted, all penetration attempts, a start time, a type of test and an outcome. The system can also include means for reporting any outcome, any system identified, a score and a username password combination. The system can also include means for reporting differences from a previous scan including if a modem was currently found. The system can also include means for reporting daily trends in modem detection. The system can also include means for reporting yearly trends in modem detection.
