The present invention discloses an apparatus and a method for providing a flexible fleet administration to a dispatcher in a wireless communication system that includes a base station (2), a dispatch station (4) and a plurality of subscriber units (6), comprising the steps of transmitting fleet administration information fromthe dispatch station to the base station, accessing a billing database in the base station to determine whether the dispatcher is entitled to transmit fleet administration information, transmitting the fleet administration information from the base station to the plurality of subscriber units if the billing database indicates that the dispatcher is entitled to transmit fleet administration information, and configuring the operation of one of more subscriber units in accordance with the transmitted fleet administration information.

L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé de gestion souple d'un parc de véhicules pour un système de radiocommunication comprenant une station de base (2), une station de répartition (4) et une pluralité d'unités d'abonnés (6).
