An underwater power generation system comprising at least one continuous pathway; at least one carriage that is movable around said pathway; at least one foil attached to the at least one carriage, the at least one foil able to be driven by a water current; and at least one power take-off having a rotatable member; wherein the driven foil cause the at least one carriage be moved about the pathway and contact said rotatable member to cause rotation of the rotatable member.

L~invention concerne un système générateur d~énergie sous-marin, comprenant au moins un passage continu ; au moins un chariot mobile autour du passage continu ; au moins une aube fixée audit au moins un chariot, ladite au moins une aube étant entraînée par un courant d~eau ; et au moins un dispositif d~extraction d~énergie doté d~un élément rotatif. L~invention est caractérisée en ce que ladite au moins une aube entraînée met ledit au moins un chariot en mouvement autour du passage pour l~amener au contact dudit élément rotatif et le mettre en rotation.
