The tank (10) comprises a variable volume chamber (15) containing a liquid (L) and defined by a wall (12); and a piston (20) suitable for moving in the tank (10) under thrust from powder gas (G) at a temperature much higher than that of the liquid (L) in order to decrease the volume of the chamber (15). The tank also comprises a deformable elastomer membrane (30) pressed against a face of the piston (20) outside the chamber (15), the membrane (30) being suitable for thermally protecting the wall (12) and for providing sealing between the piston (20) and the wall (12).
