The present invention relates to a tape measure with a cushion underframe comprising a tape, an enclosure and a cushion underframe enclosed in the enclosure. The function of the cushion underframe can prevent the tape from being withdrawn entirely into the enclosure and becomes unable to be pulled out again for successive measuring work, and further, to protect the hook at the head terminal of the tape not to trip off so that the lifetime of the tape measure may be lengthened.
