A telescopic hoist comprises a series of telescopically arranged tubular sections wherein a number of these sections has an annular head threadedly mounted to one end thereof; each annular head defines an inner wall and an outer wall with a pair of annular grooves on the inner wall and an annular groove on the outer wall; a dynamic seal and a wiper are located in the pair of grooves while a static seal is mounted in the annular groove of the outer wall.
