A thermal stencil sheet for use with a printing system is provided. In one embodiment, the stencil sheet includes a thermal film (106) attached by means of an adhesive (104) to a base layer (102) and a coated surface applied to the thermal film (110). The coated surface (110) contains a resin based film having infrared (IR) absorbing material dispersed therein. In a further embodiment, the stencil sheet includes a thermal film (106) having a radiation absorbing layer (110), containing a resin based film having infrared (IR) absorbing material dispersed therein, on top of a base layer (102) with a thermal film (106) overlying the radiation absorbing layer (110). The base layer (102) includes porous fibrous material which is saturatable with liquid.

L'invention concerne une feuille stencil thermique destinée à un système d'impression. Dans l'un des modes de réalisation, la feuille comprend un film thermosensible (106), fixé par un adhésif (104) sur une couche de base (102), et une surface revêtue appliquée sur ledit film (110).
