This invention relates to a thermoplastic resin composition containing: (a) about 85 to about 95 weight% of a crystalline propylene ethylene block copolymer or a combination of crystalline propylene ethylene copolymer and a propylene homopolymer whose (i) ethylene content ranges from about 2.2 to about 4.2 weight%, (ii) melt flow rate ranges from about 20 to about 30 g/10 minutes, and (iii) isotactic/pentad fraction of propylene homopolymer is greater than or equal to about 94 %; (b) about 2 to about 8 weight% ethylene butene rubber whose melt flow rate ranges from about 6 to about 8 g/10 minutes and density ranges from about 0.860 to about 0.865 g/cc and (c) about 2 to about 8 parts by weight talc with an average diameter ranging from about 1 to about 2 ~m. The thermoplastic resin composition is lightweight but maintains good rigidity and heat resistance properties. The thermoplastic resin may be molded into an article, such as those used as parts for an automobile interior.
L'invention concerne une composition de résine thermoplastique contenant : (a) environ 85 à 95 % en poids d'un copolymère à blocs cristallin de propylène et d'éthylène ou d'une combinaison d'un copolymère de propylène et d'éthylène cristallin et d'un homopolymère de propylène (i) dont la teneur en éthylène est comprise entre 2,2 et environ 4,2 % en poids, (ii) dont l'indice de fluidité est compris entre environ 20 et 30 g/10 minutes et (iii) dont la fraction isotactique/pentavalente de l'homopolymère de propylène est supérieure ou égale à environ 94 % ; (b) environ 2 à 8 % en poids de caoutchouc éthylène-butène dont l'indice de fluidité est compris entre environ 6 et 8 g/10 minutes et dont les plages de densité sont comprises entre environ 0,860 et 0,865 g/cc ; ainsi que (c) environ 2 à 8 parties en poids de talc ayant un diamètre moyen compris entre environ 1 à 2 µm. La composition de résine thermoplastique selon l'invention est légère, mais présente de bonnes propriétés de rigidité et de tenue à la chaleur. Elle peut être moulée en articles tels que ceux utilisés pour l'habitable d'un véhicule automobile.
