This invention is a process for bonding a denture (1, 10) to the tissue surfaces of the jaw over which the denture is superimposed during use. This comprises the steps of providing at the interface of the denture and the jaw's tissues a liquid irreversible hydrocolloid of an alginate dental impression formulation (5, 15); applying pressure to the denture so that it presses into the tissue surfaces, causing the liquid hydrocolloid to flow within such interface; and allowing the hydrocolloid to solidify within the interface. Also described is a novel relatively thin film, setting hydrocolloid denture aid, the set, and the cushiony thin film denture aid obtained from it.
On décrit un procédé qui permet de fixer une prothèse dentaire (1, 10) à des surfaces tissulaires de la mâchoire sur laquelle repose la prothèse pendant l'utilisation. Le procédé consiste à appliquer, à la jonction de la prothèse et des tissus de la mâchoire, un hydrocolloïde irréversible liquide d'une formulation d'alginate (5, 15) pour empreinte; à exercer une pression sur la prothèse de manière à l'adhérer fermement aux surfaces tissulaires pour provoquer l'étalement de l'hydrocolloïde liquide dans ladite jonction; puis à laisser durcir l'hydrocolloïde liquide dans ladite jonction. On décrit en outre un nouvel auxiliaire de prothèse dentaire hydrocolloïde de fixage à couche relativement mince, la trousse et l'auxiliaire de prothèse dentaire tampon à couche relativement mince obtenu à partir de cette trousse.
