A method of producing a through-coloured wooden element in which the element is pressed isostatically in a first step, at a pressure greater than 800 bar, preferably greater than 1000 bar, whereafter the pressure is removed and the element is then placed in a liquid bath that contains a dissolved colorant in a second step. The invention also relates to a through-coloured wooden element.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire un élément en bois teinté dans la masse, procédé au cours duquel l'élément subit, lors d'une première opération, une pression isostatique à une pression supérieure à 800 bars, de préférence supérieure à 1000 bars, suite à quoi, lors d'une deuxième opération, on supprime la pression et on place l'élément dans un bain liquide renfermant un colorant dissout. L'invention concerne également un élément en bois teinté dans la masse.
