A golf ball retrieval tool comprising an elongate handle (1) which carries at one end a so-called cage (20) which has at its rear end that faces towards the handle (1) a first section (21) and at a part distal from said handle a second section (22) which connects with said first section (21), wherein in a first cage orientation of the tool the first cage section has an opening edge (21) which, in said first tool orientation, is generally open downwards and rearwards towards the handle and which is able to freely receive a golf ball, wherein a transit opening (32) connects the first section (21) with the second section (22), wherein the second section includes a downwardly open opening (33) which forms a ball seating, wherein, with the tool in said first cage orientation, the handle extends obliquely downwards beneath the horizontal plane of the cage (22), and wherein the transit opening (32) between said first and said second sections forms a threshold (35) over which the ball must run. The cage comprises a roof structure which in response to pressing the cage generally vertically against a ball, which as a result is received in the first section, when the tool is in said first cage orientation, generates on the ball a wedging action such as to drive the ball through the transit opening (32) and into the second section (22) where the ball (3) can be received in the ball seating (33).
La présente invention concerne un outil qui permet de récupérer une balle de golf, lequel outil comprend un manche allongé (1) qui porte à une extrémité une soi-disant cage (20) comportant, sur sa face arrière qui est tournée vers le manche (1), une première section (21) et, dans une partie distale par rapport au manche précité, une second section (22) reliée à la première section (21). Dans une première orientation de la cage de l'outil, la première section de la cage comporte un bord d'ouverture (21) qui, dans ladite première orientation de l'outil, est généralement ouvert vers le bas et vers l'arrière en direction du manche et qui est capable de recevoir librement une balle de golf. Une ouverture de transit (32) relie la première section (21) à la seconde section (22), la seconde section comprenant une ouverture ouverte vers le bas (33) qui forme un siège de balle et, lorsque l'outil se trouve dans la première orientation de cage précitée, le manche s'étend en oblique vers le bas sous le plan horizontal de la cage (22), l'ouverture de transit (32) entre la première et la seconde section formant un seuil (35) que la balle doit franchir. La cage comprend une structure de toit qui, en réponse à une pression généralement verticale de la cage contre une balle, qui de ce fait est reçue dans la première section, lorsque l'outil se trouve dans la première orientation de cage, exerce sur la balle une action qui coince cette dernière et la fait passer à travers l'ouverture de transit (32) jusque dans la seconde section (22) où la balle (3) peut être reçue dans le siège de balle (3).
