This invention relates to a top mount method, a top mount system (41) and a combination of forklift truck (1) and carrying vehicle (5) having such a top mount system. The top mount method differs from the known methods in that the forklift truck lifting assembly (11) at least is provided with a remote control unit (33) to permit the operator of the forklift to mount the forklift onto the carrying vehicle (5) from a position remote from the forklift. The top mount system (41) comprises a track (7) having a carriage (9) slidably mounted therein and a ram (49) for moving the carriage relative the track. This obviates the need to use the drive of the forklift under remote operation. Finally, there is provided a combination of a forklift and a carrying vehicle having the top mount system which together provide a useful and safer alternative to the known combinations.
L'invention concerne un procédé de support supérieur, un système (41) de support supérieur et une combinaison d'un chariot élévateur à fourche (1) et d'un véhicule de transport (5) pourvu dudit système de support. Ledit procédé de support est différent des procédés connus en ce que l'ensemble de levage (11) du chariot élévateur au moins comprend une unité de commande à distance (33) permettant à l'opérateur du chariot élévateur de monter le chariot élévateur sur le véhicule de transport (5) à partir d'une position éloignée du chariot élévateur. Ledit système de support (41) comprend un rail (7) sur lequel est monté un chariot (9) par coulissement et un vérin (49) pour déplacer le chariot par rapport au rail. Il est ainsi nécessaire d'utiliser l'entraînement du chariot élévateur par commande à distance. L'invention concerne enfin la combinaison d'un chariot élévateur et d'un véhicule de transport pourvu du système de support constituant ensemble une alternative utile et plus sûre aux combinaisons connues.
