A multi-layered sealing film that contains a transparent outer layer is disclosed. The outer layer includes any of E/VA, PE-LD, PE-HD and PE-LLD which is grafted with 0.005 to 10% of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, anhydride, acid ester, amide or imide. The sealing film, which may contain an additional layer of thermoplastic resins, is particularly suitable for the preparation of heat seals, especially to the surface of paper.
