A low-rise trolley to transport palletised cargo (12-18 meters in length and weighing in excess of 30 tonnes) has two parallel forks each supported by two or three sets of rollers (7-13). Respective hydraulic cylinders (140) extend and retract each set of rollers (7-13) with respect to its housing (6) so that loads may be lifted by the trolley. Each housing (6) is pivotally mounted (at 115) to its respective fork so as to allow rollers (7-13) to remain in contact with uneven ground.

L'invention concerne un chariot à faible élévation destiné à transporter un chargement palettisé (de 12-18 mètres de long et de poids supérieur à 30 tonnes) comprenant une fourche à deux dents parallèles, chaque dent étant supportée par deux ou trois ensembles de roues (7-13). Des cylindres hydrauliques (140) respectifs permettent de sortir chaque ensemble de roues (7-13) de son logement (6) et de le rentrer de sorte que des charges peuvent être soulevées par le chariot. Chaque logement (6) est monté (115) pivotant par rapport aux dents de la fourche respectives afin que les roues (7-13) puissent rester en contact avec un sol accidenté.
