2071827 9108793 PCTABS00005 A treatment system for wounds and other disorders is disclosed which includes a flexible chamber (20) secured about the periphery of a wound, optionally including portal means (28, 29) for introduction and removal of treatment fluids from said chamber, control means for treatment variables, and monitoring means (24) for monitoring wound conditions, in combination with a treatment fluid consisting of saline and other optional additives such as antibiotics and anesthetics. A method for treating wounds and other skin disorders is also disclosed, said method comprising the steps of securing a fluid-filled, flexible, conformable chamber (20) about the periphery of the wound so that the chamber surface does not contact the wound, introducing a treatment fluid equivalent to 0.9 % saline, and monitoring wound conditions. Said method optionally comprising a treatment additive, selected according to wound indications, and controlling treatment variables.
L'invention concerne un système de traitement des plaies et autres troubles cutanés comprenant un compartiment souple (20) fixé à la périphérie de la plaie, et éventuellement des moyens (28, 29) servant à introduire les fluides de traitement dans le compartiment ou à les en retirer, des moyens de contrôler les variables du traitement et des moyens de surveillance (24) de l'état de la plaie, en combinaison avec un fluide de traitement comprenant des adjuvants salins et autres produits facultatifs tels que des antibiotiques et des anesthésiques. L'invention concerne également une méthode de traitement des plaies et autres troubles cutanés. Cette méthode consiste à fixer un compartiment (20) conformable, souple et rempli de fluide autour de la plaie sans qu'il ne soit en contact avec celle-ci, à introduire un fluide de traitement ayant une teneur de 0,9 % d'adjuvant salin et à surveiller l'état de la plaie. La méthode peut également prévoir l'ajout d'un adjuvant de traitement, choisi en fonction de la nature de la plaie, ainsi que le contrôle des variables du traitement.
