A rolling mill for rolling pipes on a mandrel (40) is formed by an alignment of rolling units according to the invention; each rolling unit comprises an outer annular structure (2) formed by at least two plate- shaped elements (3) connected rigidly to one another and housing a roll carrier (10) on which the rolling rolls (27, 28, 29), supported by respective pivoting lever arms (19, 20, 21), are disposed. Each roll carrier (10) can be removed transversely from its rolling unit which, for this purpose, is provided with guides (15) in addition to a loading-unloading device (SO) on which the removed carrier is placed. The outer annular structure (2) enables the rolling unit and the corresponding rolling mill better to withstand the radial stresses produced during working, the replacement of the rolls and of the respective carriers (10) at the same time being simplified by virtue of their lateral removal.
Une installation pour former des conduites sur un mandrin (40) est constituée par un alignement d'unités de formage selon l'invention. Chaque unité de formage a une structure annulaire externe (2) constituée par au moins deux éléments (3) en forme de plaques reliées rigidement ensemble et recevant un porte-cylindres (10) sur lequel sont placés des cylindres de formage (27, 28, 29) portés par de bras de levier pivotants respectifs (19, 20, 21). Chaque porte-cylindres (10) peut être extrait par un mouvement transversal de son unité de formage, et cette dernière comprend, à cette fin, des guides (15). Un dispositif de chargement - déchargement (50) permet de recevoir le porte-cylindres extrait. La structure annulaire externe (2) permet aux unités de formage et à toute l'installation de mieux résister aux sollicitations radiales produites durant le formage. D'autre part, le remplacement des cylindres sur les porte-cylindres respectifs (10) est simplifié par le fait que les porte-cylindres peuvent être extraits latéralement.
