The present invention is a graphical user interface (GUI) [see Figure 8] for use in an Executive Information System (EIS) for managerial planning applications that experience long-range weather impact. The EIS is referred to as a Long-range Executive Information System (LEWISTM) [see Figure 8]. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the LEWISTM system is used to calculate and display to a user the impact of weather on retail planning applications [902, 904, 906, 908, 910, 912]. However, the present invention applies to all industries beyond retailing that experience weather impact, including, but not limited to, personal care, utilities, energy, agriculture, consumer products, insurance, transportation, outdoor events, chemicals, pharmaceutical, and construction.
La présente invention concerne une interface utilisateur graphique (représenté dans la figure 8) destinée à être utilisée dans un système de pilotage d'entreprise (EIS) dans des applications de gestion prévisionnelle subissant l'influence à longue échéance des conditions météorologiques. Le système de pilotage d'entreprise (EIS) est désigné comme un système d'information météorologique à longue échéance de pilotage d'entreprise LEWIS ?TM¿ (représenté dans la figure 8). Selon un mode de réalisation préféré, l'utilisateur fait appel à ce dernier système pour calculer et afficher l'influence des conditions météorologiques sur les applications de planification dans le commerce de détail [902, 904, 906, 908, 910, 912]. Toutefois, la présente invention s'applique à tous les domaines en plus du commerce de détail qui sont soumis aux conditions météorologiques, y compris les soins personnels, les services publics, l'énergie, l'agriculture, les produits de consommation, l'assurance, les transports, les manifestations en extérieur, les produits chimiques, les produits pharmaceutiques et la construction.
