A valve plate (20) for a sliding gate valve (10) has a refractory plate (22) and a metal shell (33) surrounding it. Associated with the plate (20) are centering means which is constituted by preferably two abutment surfaces (23, 24), which are arranged at a defined spacing from one another and which rise up substantially at least partially perpendicularly towards the plate support (26) constituted by the metal shell (21) and have a thickness substantially equal to the metal shell thickness (21'). These abutment surfaces (23, 24) are so arranged that, in the inserted and centered state of the plate (20), they engage correspondingly shaped abutment surfaces (18', 19') on the metal frame (14, 15). This plate (20) may thus be manufactured simply and economically.

Une plaque d'obturation (20) destinée à une busette à tiroir (10) comporte une plaque réfractaire (22) entourée d'une enveloppe en tôle (33). Un moyen de centrage est associé à la plaque (20) et est formé de préférence par deux surfaces de butée (23, 24) espacées d'une distance définie, lesquelles se soulèvent verticalement par rapport au support de plaque (26) formé par l'enveloppe en tôle (21), en se rapprochant au moins partiellement, et présentent en se rapprochant une épaisseur égale à l'épaisseur (21') de l'enveloppe en tôle. Ces surfaces de butée (23, 24) sont disposées de manière à prendre appui contre des surfaces de butée (18', 19') de configuration analogue situées sur le bâti métallique (14, 15), lorsque la plaque (20) est mise en place et centrée. La fabrication de cette plaque (20) est donc simple et économique.
