Turbochargers conventionally use the engine's exhaust energy to propell into action the turbocharger. This causes the engine's available torque to drastically kick in as the revs go up. Since it becomes available at sometimes inoppertune times, this impacts limitations on driveability. The New Variable Turbo is a self contained unit that not only gives you practically instantaneous boost but adds versatility to the game by allowing you to dial in your boost at any given time. Ability to isolate this system in an ambient air source .cndot. Closed & open loop configuration(EFI) By having selectable boost at your fingertips you could level performances previously gagged by a lack of psi's... The New Variable Turbocharger sets out to fill in as an upgrade system, a piggyback component to help compensate a turbo engine's low range boost. Since conventional turbochargers, through exhaust energy, spool up to pressurize the intake manifold, this creates inconsistencies in available boost depending on the engine's revs(rpm) as well as backpressure. The NVT is designed to integrate and improve existing turbocharged systems; by filling the boost gaps, it flattens the existing boost thresholds. At this point, the torque curve starts to rapidly swing upwards and so shall your grin as the tires spin. The addition of an intercooler to the system will allow for higher compression ratio's and better engine management by densing the charge and lowering it's temperature.
