A water craft fender system which utilises an inflat-able bladder (1) having an outer cover (10) which has edges shaped (11) to enclose a bolt rope (12). The edges (11) with the bolt rope (12) are inserted into grooves (8) of bolt rope holders 6/7 which ex-tend around the hull of the water craft. The ends of the bolt rope (12) are secured to a bolt rope locking device which is formed of two parts (15 and 16), one of which is adapted to be attached to the hull of the water craft and the second part engages with the first part to grip the ends of the bolt rope (12).
L'invention concerne un système de défense pour navire utilisant un ballon gonflable (1) pourvu d'une enveloppe externe (10) dont les bords (11) sont conçus pour entourer une ralingue (12). Ces bords (11) et cette ralingue (12) sont insérés dans les rainures (8) des supports de ralingue (6, 7) disposés autour de la coque du navire. Les extrémités de la ralingue (12) sont fixées à un dispositif de blocage de ralingue constitué de deux parties (15, 16) dont l'une peut être fixée à la coque du navire, la seconde partie entrant alors en prise avec cette première partie de façon à retenir les extrémités de la ralingue (12).
