A water-resistant closure (10) possessing a layer of waterproof material (15) having an opening is disclosed. Attached with-in the opening is a slide fastening assembly (16) comprising a pair of stringer tapes of a waterproof fabric. At least one stringer tape is longitudinally folded so as to form an internal flap positioned behind the inside surface of the other stringer tape. The internal flap blocks the entry of water which has passed through gaps present in the slide fastener device. An attachment means secures the slide fastening assembly in the opening and a sealing tape (18) covers the attachment means (17) and seals the stringer tape to the waterproof material forming the water-resistant garment closure. An article containing the water-resistant garment closure is also disclosed.
Dispositif de fermeture résistant à l'eau (10) muni d'une couche de matériau imperméable (15) présentant une ouverture. Un ensemble de fermeture à glissière (16), fixé dans l'ouverture, comporte une paire de rubans de demi-chaîne en tissu imperméable. Une (ou plusieurs) bande de demi-chaîne est repliée longitudinalement pour former un ruban interne derrière la surface interne de l'autre ruban de demi-chaîne. Le ruban interne fait obstacle à l'eau qui a pénétré par les interstices du dispositif de fermeture. Un dispositif de fixation maintient solidement cet ensemble de fermeture à glissière dans l'ouverture et un ruban de scellement (18) couvre ce dispositif de fixation (17) en assurant de cette façon la résistance à l'eau du ruban de demi-chaîne sur le matériau imperméable pour constituer le dispositif de fermeture résistant à l'eau pour vêtement en question. On présente également un article pourvu d'un tel dispositif.
