A wave power apparatus includes a plurality of rotationally supported arms, each of which carries a float (124) at its free end, so that a translational movement of the float caused by a wave results in rotation of the arm. The apparatus comprises power conversion means for converting power transmitted from the wave to the arms into electric power, e.g. a hydraulic system, in which a hydraulic fluid is displaced by the movement of the arms to drive one or more hydraulic motors. The plurality of are arranged in a row such that a wave passing the row of arms causes the arms to successively pivot with a mutual phase shift. Thereby, an even power output may be achieved, and the need for frequency converters may be reduced or eliminated. Preferably, each arm is connected to a hydraulic cylinder of the hydraulic system, whereby a plurality of arms feed hydraulic medium into the hydraulic motor or motors through common hydraulic conduits.
La présente invention se rapporte à un générateur électrique utilisant les vagues et comportant une pluralité de bras supportés de manière à pouvoir tourner, chacun de ces bras comportant un flotteur (124) au niveau de son extrémité libre, de sorte qu'un mouvement de translation du flotteur provoqué par une vague entraîne la rotation du bras. L'appareil comporte un moyen de conversion d'énergie permettant de convertir l'énergie, transmise par la vague aux bras, en énergie électrique, par exemple un système hydraulique, dans lequel un fluide hydraulique est déplacé par le mouvement des bras aux fins de l'entraînement d'un ou de plusieurs moteurs hydrauliques. La pluralité de bras est disposée selon une rangée de sorte qu'une vague passant sur la rangée de bras provoque le pivotement successif des bras avec un déphasage mutuel. Ainsi, il est possible d'obtenir en sortie une énergie électrique régulière, et il est possible de réduire le nombre ou de supprimer les convertisseurs de fréquence. De préférence, chaque bras est raccordé à un cylindre hydraulique du système hydraulique, une pluralité de bras alimentant en fluide hydraulique le ou les moteurs hydrauliques par l'intermédiaire de conduits hydrauliques communs.
