A windscreen wiper device (1( comprising an elastic, elongated carrier element, as well as an elongated wiper blade (2) of a flexible material, which can be placed in abutment with a windscreen to be wiped, which wiper blade (2) includes opposing longitudinal grooves (3) on its longitudinal sides, in which grooves spaced-apart longitudinal strips )4) of the carrier element are disposed, wherein neighbouring ends of said longitudinal strips (4) are interconnected by a respective connecting piece (6), which windscreen wiper device comprises a connecting device (7) for an oscillating arm (8), wherein said oscillating arm (8) is pivotally connected to said connecting device (7) about a pivot axis near one end, with the interposition of a joint part (12), with the special feature that the windscreen wiper device is provided with first and second retaining means for retaining said connecting device (7) onto said oscillating arm (8), said first retaining means comprising at least one resilient tongue (13) provided on said joint part (12) engaging in a correspondingly shaped hole (14) provided in said oscillating arm (8), said second retaining means comprising a least one first stop surface (19) provided on the oscillating arm (8) and at least one second stop surface (23) provided on the joint part (12) or the connecting device(7), both first (19) and second (23) stop surfaces being spaced apart during normal operation of the windscreen wiper device, wherein in case of disfunctioning of said first retaining means said connecting device (7) is allowed to move with respect to said oscillating arm (8) causing the second stop surface (23) to correspondingly move towards the first stop surface (19) until the first (19) and second (23) stop surfaces are adjacent one another.
Dispositif de type essuie-glace (1) comportant un élément support allongé élastique ainsi qu'un balai allongé (2) en matière souple susceptible de venir au contact du pare-brise à essuyer. Ledit balai (2) comprend des rainures longitudinales opposées (3) ménagées dans ses faces longitudinales, et adaptées pour accueillir des bandes longitudinales espacées (4) de l'élément support, les extrémités voisines desdites bandes longitudinales (4) étant reliées entre elles par une pièce de raccordement (6) respective. Ledit dispositif de type essuie-glace (1) comporte un dispositif de raccordement (7) pour un bras oscillant (8) relié à pivotement audit dispositif de raccordement (7) et monté pivotant autour d'un axe situé à proximité de l'une des extrémités, avec interposition d'une pièce formant joint (12). Le dispositif de type essuie-glace est caractérisé en ce qu'il est équipé d'un premier et d'un deuxième moyens de retenue dudit dispositif de raccordement (7) sur ledit bras oscillant (8), ledit premier moyen de retenue comportant au moins une languette élastique (13) prévue sur ladite pièce formant joint (12) pour coopérer avec un trou de forme correspondante (14) ménagé dans ledit bras oscillant (8), ledit deuxième moyen de retenue comportant au moins une première face de butée (19) prévue sur le bras oscillant et au moins une deuxième face de butée (23) prévue sur la pièce formant joint (12) ou sur le dispositif de raccordement (7), à la fois la première (19) et la deuxième (23) faces de butée étant écartées l'une de l'autre lors du fonctionnement normal du dispositif de type essuie-glace, ledit dispositif de raccordement (7) étant adapté, en cas de défaillance dudit premier moyen de retenue, pour se déplacer par rapport audit bras oscillant (8) de manière à déplacer de façon correspondante la deuxième face de butée (23) en direction de la première face de butée (19) jusqu'à ce que la première (19) et la deuxième (23) faces de butée soient voisines l'une de l'autre.
