The innovation concerns a wood harvesting method and a harvester head. The method is used to harvest all sizes of trees without taking the harvester to the site more than once. The method consists of placing the harvester head against the first tree, closing all grapples around the tree, cutting the tree with the cutting device, lifting the cut tree a little by holding it with the grapples fastened to the telescopic boom and using the stroke cylinder to move the telescopic boom in relation to the main body, moving to the next tree, opening the rigid grapples and holding the first tree in an upright position with the articulated grapples, closing the rigid grapples around the tree, opening the articulated grapples, so that their turning tips slide away from between the trees, closing the articulated grapples around all the trees, cutting the tree with the cutting device, and continuing the work in the above described order by collecting more trees and cutting them, until the grapples are full. The harvester head includes the main body, telescopic boom moving in relation to the main body, a device for cutting trees and several pairs of grapples for holding the trees, with at least one pair of grapples equipped with articulated grapples.
L'invention porte sur une méthode de coupe du bois et sur une tête d'abattage-ébranchage. Ce procédé est utilisé pour abattre les arbres de toutes tailles sans avoir à utiliser l'abatteuse sur le site plus d'une fois. Le procédé consiste à: placer la tête d'abattage-ébranchage contre le premier arbre, refermer toutes les pinces (3, 4, 5) de débardage autour de l'arbre, couper l'arbre à l'aide du dispositif de découpe (6), soulever légèrement l'arbre coupé en le retenant avec les pinces de débardage (4) fixées à la flèche télescopique et utiliser le cylindre (1.1) à course intégrée pour déplacer la flèche télescopique (2) par rapport au corps principal (1), déplacer l'arbre suivant, ouvrir les pinces (3, 4) de débardage rigides et retenir le premier arbre en position verticale à l'aide des pinces (5) de débardage articulées, refermer les pinces (3, 4) rigides sur l'arbre, ouvrir les pinces articulées de sorte que leurs extrémités tournantes (5.4) s'éloignent des arbres en glissant, refermer les pinces articulées sur tous les arbres, couper l'arbre à l'aide du dispositif de découpe (6) et poursuivre le travail selon l'ordre précité en rassemblant plusieurs arbres pour les couper jusqu'à ce que les pinces (3, 4, 5) soient pleines. La tête d'abattage-ébranchage comprend un corps principal (1), une flèche télescopique (2) se déplaçant par rapport au corps principal, un dispositif de découpe (6) des arbres et plusieurs paires de pinces (3, 4, 5) de débardage (3, 4, 5) servant à retenir les arbres, au moins une paire de ces pinces (5) étant pourvue de pinces (5.3, 5.4) articulées.
