The present invention relates to a wash-out resistant, water-soluble wood preservatives that contain a product from fatty amine ethoxylate and unsaturated fatty acid or the copper and/or zinc salts thereof. It is preferred that copper, zinc, and boron salts, in particular polymer quaternary ammonium borate, be used as additional active ingredients.
