An exercise machine, more specifically, an abdominal exercise machine (10). The abdominal exercise machine consists of a frame (12) upon which the user sits, the frame having a support arm (20) tilted backward from vertical with the lower lumbar region against a seat member (24). Pivotally attached to the frame is an upper seat rest assembly (14) that has a pair of handles (40) and a pad designed to lay against the upper back of the user. The seat back assembly moves with the upper body of the user, the hands of the user assisting in maintaining the upper seat back member against the upper back, while the user moves from a tilted back position to a crunch position, and simulating a traditional sit-up movement.
La présente invention concerne une machine d'exercice, plus particulièrement une machine d'exercice abdominal (10). La machine d'exercice abdominal consiste en un cadre (12) sur lequel l'utilisateur est assis, le cadre ayant un bras de support (20) incliné vers l'arrière depuis la verticale avec la région lombaire inférieure contre un élément de siège (24). Un ensemble d'appui de siège supérieur (14) doté d'une paire de poignées (40) ainsi que d'un coussin conçu pour reposer contre le haut du dos de l'utilisateur est fixé de façon pivotante au cadre. L'ensemble de dossier de siège se déplace avec la partie supérieure du corps de l'utilisateur, les mains de l'utilisateur aidant à maintenir l'élément de dossier de siège supérieur contre le haut du dos tandis que l'utilisateur se déplace d'une position inclinée vers l'arrière jusqu'à une position pliée vers l'avant, simulant ainsi un mouvement traditionnel de redressement.
