Disclosed are: a method for detecting abnormal prion protein as distinguished from normal prion protein in a simple manner, rapidly, with a high degree of sensitivity and quantitatively without the need of the enzymatic treatment with protease K; and a reagent for use in the method. Specifically disclosed are: an abnormal prion protein binder which comprises lactoferrin; and a method for detecting abnormal prion protein by using the abnormal prion protein binder.

L'invention porte sur un procédé pour détecter une protéine prion anormale que l'on distingue d'une protéine prion normale de façon simple, rapide, avec un degré élevé de sensibilité et de manière quantitative sans avoir recours au traitement enzymatique par la protéase K ; et sur un réactif destiné à être utilisé dans le procédé. L'invention porte précisément sur un liant à une protéine prion anormale qui comporte de la lactoferrine ; et sur un procédé pour détecter une protéine prion anormale à l'aide du liant à la protéine prion anormale.
