ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE an abrading machine which is provided with an abrading means and is characterized in that a carrier member is so provided as to be movable toward and away from the abrading means, a gripping means is mounted on the carrier member so as to be located on the opposite sides of the abrading means to hold a workpiece to be abraded and a supporting means is provided on the carrier member to support the workpiece being abraded.
