An abrading machine is disclosed for abrasion of substantially plane items by use of rotating abrading discs (5, 5'), which are moved simultaneously forwards and backward transverse to the item and which preferably has downward extending abrasive lamellae. The machine also preferably comprises one, typically two, opposite rotating abrading cylinders (7, 7') fitted with elongated abrasive elements radially mounted on the abrading cylinder and has abrasive lamellae extending outwards from the cylinder. By moving the abrading discs in a reciprocatory movement (H) transverse to the direction of feed (A) of the items it is achieved that traces etc. from the different abrasive properties of the abrading discs are eliminated as well as all parts of milled out areas etc. are evenly abraded, particularly if the abrading device is designed for using abrading discs with abrasive means comprising abrasive lamellae made of abrasive cloth and which extend downwards from the face of the abrading disc.
L'invention concerne une machine à abraser pour l'abrasion d'articles sensiblement plats, par l'utilisation de disques abrasifs rotatifs (5, 5'), déplacés simultanément vers l'avant et vers l'arrière, de manière transversale par rapport à l'article à abraser, et qui présente de préférence des lamelles abrasives s'étendant vers le bas. Cette machine comprend de préférence également un, ou typiquement, deux cylindres abrasifs rotatifs opposés (7, 7') dotés d'éléments abrasifs allongés montés radialement sur le cylindre abrasif et présentant des lamelles abrasives s'étendant vers l'extérieur, à partir du cylindre. Le déplacement des disques abrasifs dans un déplacement réciproque (H) transversal par rapport à la direction d'alimentation (A) des articles permet d'éliminer les traces, etc., provenant des propriétés abrasives diverses des disques abrasifs, ainsi que d'obtenir une abrasion régulière de toutes les parties fraisées etc., en particulier si le dispositif abrasif est conçu pour une utilisation de disques abrasifs présentant un moyen abrasif comprenant des lamelles abrasives constituées de tissu abrasif et s'étendant vers le bas, à partir de la face du disque abrasif.
