Power metallurgical abrasion resistant material produced by mixing with each other two or more different powder qualities and by compacting by pressure and temperature into a compact material. At least one of the powder qualities is an iron based face centered cubic (austenitic) powder. Another of the powder qualities is an iron based substantially martensitic powder. The second powder including at least 0.8 weight percent carbon and nitrogen altogether and at least 8 percent alloying elements forming precipitates (carbides, nitrides, carbonitrides) like chromium, molybdenum, titanium, niobium, tantalum, tungsten and vanadium.

Au moins une des poudres de qualité différente est une poudre à symétrie cubique centrée (austénitique) à base de fer. Une autre est une poudre à base de fer substantiellement martensitique. La deuxième poudre comprend au moins 0,8 % en masse de carbone et d'azote et au moins 8 % d'éléments formant des alliages qui donnent des précipités (carbures, nitrures, carbonitrures) comme le chrome, le molybdène, le titane, le niobium, le tantale, le tungstène et le vanadium.
