An abrasion resistant laminate includes a substrate and a durable wear- resistant top layer assembly laminated over a top side of the substrate. The layer assembly includes a wear-resistant upper layer and an underlying decorative layer which together include a first paper sheet impregnated with a first resin. The top layer assembly further includes a core layer underlying the decorative layer. The core layer includes second and third paper sheets impregnated with a second resin. A fourth paper sheet is interposed between the second and third paper sheets in the core layer. The fourth paper sheet is impregnated with the first resin, whereby the fourth paper sheet functions as a balance sheet to equalize expansion and contraction of the layers under the influence of environmental factors.
L'invention concerne un stratifié résistant à l'abrasion comprenant un substrat et un ensemble de couches supérieures durables et résistantes à l'usure appliquées sur le côté supérieur dudit substrat. Cet ensemble de couches comprend une couche supérieure résistante à l'usure et une couche décorative sous-jacente comportant une première feuille de papier imprégnée d'une première résine. Ledit ensemble de couches supérieures comprend également une couche centrale située sous la couche décorative. Cette couche centrale comprend une deuxième feuille de papier et une troisième feuille de papier imprégnées d'une seconde résine. Une quatrième feuille de papier se trouve entre la deuxième et la troisième feuille de papier dans la couche de base. Cette quatrième feuille de papier est imprégnée de la première résine, et tient lieu de feuille d'équilibre permettant de réguler la dilatation et la contraction des couches sous l'influence de facteurs environnementaux.
