An abrasive article (10) having a sheet-like structure (19) having a major surface (13) and having deployed in a fixed position thereon a plurality of abutting abrasive composites (11, 12) in an area spacing of at least 1,200 composites/cm2, each of the composites (11, 12) comprising a plurality of abrasive particles (14) dispersed in a binder (15). The invention also relates to a method for reducing a surface finish of a workpiece surface using the abrasive article (10) and a process for making the abrasive article (10) of the invention.
Article abrasif (10) présentant une structure en forme de feuille (19) possédant une surface principale (13) et une pluralité de composites abrasifs (11, 12) placés bout à bout et deployés en position fixe sur celle-ci selon une concentration d'au moins 1200 composites/cm?2¿, chaque composite (11, 12) étant constitué d'une pluralité de particules abrasives disposées dans un liant (15).
