An abrasive article comprising an abrasive fabric comprising a fabric having discrete areas of electro-deposited metal extending on or therethrough and having abrasive material embedded in the metal, a layer of adhesive, and a backing substrate, the abrasive fabric being bonded to the backing substrate by the layer of adhesive, characterized in that either (i) the surface of the abrasive fabric bonded to the backing has been roughened and/or (ii) the layer of adhesive comprises an epoxy-acrylate thermosetting adhesive.

La présente invention concerne un article abrasif constitué d'un tissu abrasif, d'une couche d'adhésif, et d'un substrat support. Le tissu abrasif considéré présente des zones métallisées discrètes réalisées par électrodéposition de métal, superficiellement ou en profondeur. En l'occurrence, le matériau abrasif est incrusté dans le métal. Le tissu abrasif est lié au substrat support par la couche d'adhésif. L'article est caractérisé en ce que (i) la surface du tissu abrasif lié au support a été rendue rugueuse et/ou que (ii) la couche d'adhésif comporte un adhésif époxy-acrylate thermodurcissable.
