ABRASIVE FOR REMOVAL OF ORTHODONTIC BRACKET ADHESIVES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a dental abrasive composition, comprising a finely divided inorganic material admixed with a solid binder, said inorganic material being non-toxic, having a Mohs hardness less than 5, and being at least 30% of the total weight of said composition, said abrasive composition being in the form of a scraping tool, a cutting tool, or a grinding attachment for a standard powered dental tool, said tool having a hardness sufficiently low to avoid damaging tooth enamel when used thereon. The composition permits removal of orthodontic bracket adhesives with little or no damage to tooth enamel.
