A modulator valve for an ABS sys- tem for heavy duty vehicles is disclosed. It uses non flow-through solenoid valve as- semblies (140, 160) that simplify the ma- chining and manufacturing costs associated with the present arrangement. This eliminates complex pilot passages and also achieves a quicker acting release of the brakes during normal service braking.

L'invention concerne une vanne de modulateur pour limiteur de freinage destinée aux véhicules lourds. Cette vanne fonctionne avec des ensembles vannes électromagnétiques sans communication de flux (140, 160) qui permettent de simplifier l'usinage et de réduire les coûts de fabrication correspondants. On élimine ainsi les passages pilotes complexes et on parvient à accélérer la libération des freins en opération de freinage normale.
