Absorbent article, such as a diaper, pant diaper, incontinence guard, sanitary napkin, wound dressing and the like, comprising a layer of continuous fibres, so-called tow, which have been bonded together in points, lines or spots in a bonding pattern (10), but otherwise are substantially unbonded to each other, wherein the bonding pattern (10) is different in different portions of said layer (5). The layer can either be utilized as a liquid acquisition layer (5) in the article underneath a topsheet (2), as a topsheet (12), or as a combined topsheet and liquid acquisition layer (22).

L'invention concerne un article absorbant tel qu'une couche, une couche-culotte, une protection d'incontinence, une serviette hygiénique, des pansements et équivalent. Cet article absorbant comprend une couche de fibres continues, appelées filasse, qui sont liées par points, lignes ou endroits formant ainsi un motif de liaison (10) mais qui demeurent, par ailleurs, sensiblement non liées les unes aux autres. Le motif de liaison (10) varie dans les différentes parties de cette couche (5). Cette couche peut être utilisée comme couche d'absorption de liquide (5) dans un article sous une feuille de recouvrement (2), comme feuille de recouvrement (12) ou bien comme couche mixte feuille de recouvrement/feuille d'absorption de liquide (22).
