The present invention relates to an absorbent article adapted to be secured to awearer's body. The absorbent article has a cover disposed toward the body facingsurface and a baffle disposed toward the undergarment-facing surface. Positionedbetween the cover and the baffle is an absorbent material. An adhesive is secured to the body facing surface to hold the absorbent article in intimate contact with the wearer during use. The absorbent article further includes a pocket secured to the baffle for assisting removal of the absorbent article. The pocket has a fixed portion and a medial open portion which may be grasped or a portion of the wearer hand may be inserted to facilitate removal. Advantageously, the open portion of the pocket provides a means for hygienically disposing of the sanitary napkin. The method includes folding the sanitary napkin in half (across the transverse axis) so that the cover is in contact with itself and the transverse ends are substantially aligned. The open portion of the pocket is then rolled over the transverse ends to retain the sanitary napkin in a folded condition.
Cette invention concerne un article absorbant conçu pour se fixer au corps de l'utilisateur et qui comporte, côté corps, une couche poreuse et, côté sous-vêtement, une couche imperméable. Entre ces deux couches est disposé un matériau absorbant. La couche poreuse, côté corps, comporte une bande adhésive permettant de maintenir l'article absorbant en contact étroit avec la peau de l'utilisateur. L'objet de l'invention comprend en outre, fixée à la couche imperméable, une pochette servant à faciliter l'enlèvement de l'article absorbant. La pochette comporte une partie fixe et une partie médiane ouverte que l'on peut saisir ou dans laquelle on peut insérer les doigts pour faciliter l'enlèvement. Caractéristique avantageuse, la pochette permet de se débarrasser de la serviette sanitaire de façon hygiénique. Il s'agit de plier la serviette en deux (autour de l'axe transversal), couche poreuse à l'intérieur, les extrémités transversales de la serviette étant sensiblement alignées. La partie ouverte de la pochette est alors rabattue sur lesdites extrémités transversales pour maintenir la serviette pliée.
