A disposable absorbent article having a non-linear notch cut without the presence of a significantly laterally extending resulting piece. The resulting absorbent article having a front end edge and a back end edge which are complementary. The front end edge having at least three tangential points (a1, a2, b). Tangential point b is longitudinally inboard of a1 and a2.. The back end edge having at least three tangential points (x1, x2, y), wherein y is longitudinally outboard of x1 and x2. The absorbent article being longitudinally folded about a first fold line. The first fold line may be drawn between points a2 and x2. The absorbent article being longitudinally folded about a second fold line, said second fold line may be drawn between points a1 and x1.

L'invention concerne un article absorbant jetable présentant une découpe de cran non linéaire sans présence de pièce résultante s'étendant significativement de manière latérale. L'article absorbant ainsi obtenu présente un bord d'extrémité avant et un bord d'extrémité arrière qui sont complémentaires. Le bord d'extrémité avant présente au moins trois points tangentiels (a1, a2, b). Le point tangentiel b est longitudinalement à l'intérieur de a1 et de a2. Le bord d'extrémité arrière présente au moins trois points tangentiels (x1, x2, y), y étant longitudinalement à l'extérieur de x1 et de x2. L'article absorbant est longitudinalement plié autour d'une ligne de pliage. La première ligne de pliage peut être tracée entre les points a2 et x2. L'article absorbant est longitudinalement plié autour d'une seconde ligne de pliage, ladite seconde ligne de pliage peut être tracée entre les points a1 et x1.
