An absorbent article is provided having a central longitudinal axis and barrier means positioned on either side of the central axis. The absorbent article further includes an adhesive secured superposed over about 5 % to about 100 % of the bodyfacing surface of the barrier means. The adhesive has a rheological property tan 6 of less than about 0.01 at a frequency of about 0.1 radians per second and a tan .delta. of less than about 0.1 at a frequency of about 1000 radians per second.

L'invention porte sur un article absorbant présentant un axe central longitudinal et des barrières sises de part et d'autre dudit axe. L'article comporte en outre un adhésif recouvrant plus d'environ 5 à 100 % de la surface tournée vers le porteur. Ledit adhésif présente une tan delta rhéologique de moins d'environ 0,01 pour une fréquence d'environ 0,1 radians/s et une tan delta de moins d'environ 0,1, pour une fréquence d'environ 1000 radians/s.
