An absorbent article comprising a front region (2), a back region (3) and a crotch region (4) there between, said article further comprises substantially longitudinally extending leak barriers (14), each of said leak barriers (14) having a free laterally inward elasticized side (16) and a laterally outward side (15), the elasticized side (16) of the leak barrier being raised from the inner cover (6) of the absorbent article. The crotch region (4) along a length (b) of at least 2 cm, preferably at least 5 cm and more preferably at least 10 cm, in longitudinal direction is free from raised leak barriers (14), while raised leak barriers are present in the front and/or back regions (2, 3) of the article.

La présente invention concerne un objet absorbant comprenant une région avant (2), une région arrière (3) et une région d'entrejambe (4) entre celles-ci, ledit objet comprenant en outre des barrières contre les fuites s'étendant sensiblement longitudinalement (14), chacune desdites barrières (14) comprenant un côté à élastique interne latéral libre (16) et un côté externe latéral (15), le côté à élastique (16) de ladite barrière étant dressé à partir du revêtement interne (6) de l'objet absorbant. La région d'entrejambe (4) le long d'une longueur (b) d'au moins 2 cm, de préférence d'au moins 5 cm et de manière préférée d'au moins 10 cm, dans le sens longitudinal est dépourvue desdites barrières dressées (14), tandis que ces dernières se trouvent dans les régions avant et/ou arrière (2, 3) de l'objet.
