This invention is a woven absorbent article (10) useful in medical application, including at least one yarn-like radiopaque element (14) extending along the length dimension and fully from one end (18) to the opposite end (20) of the absorbent article, and having its opposite ends (22, 24) anchored to the absorbent article by means of multiple folds (28, 30) at each of the ends (22, 24) of the absorbent article (10). Preferably, the radiopaque element (14) is incorporated into the woven article (10) in the form of a warp yarn of the weave thereof. A method for the manufacture of the article is disclosed.
La présente invention concerne un article tissé absorbant (10) utile pour les applications médicales, comprenant au moins un élément (14) radio-opaque de type fil s'étendant sur la longueur totale, d'une extrémité (18) à l'extrémité opposée (20), de l'article absorbant, élément dont les bouts opposés (22, 24) sont fixés dans l'article absorbant au moyen de plusieurs plis (28, 30) formés à chacune des extrémités (22, 24) de l'article absorbant (10). De préférence, l'élément (14) radio-opaque est incorporé dans l'article tissé (10) sous la forme du fil de chaîne de l'armure de ce dernier. On décrit un procédé de fabrication de l'article précité.
