The invention relates to a cover layer which is impermeable to active substances and /or a removable protective layer of a transdermal therapeutic system, these layers consisting of a thermoplastic film and containing either absorption agents and channel forming agents directly or being coated with a polymer support (thermoplastic) containing these substances. Said polymer support can be applied directly during production, either over the entire film or in patterns. The thermoplastic film that is used and the polymer support can consist of identical or different materials.
